~Called by God~

Growing up in NPTCLG, Pastor Barbara and Deacon Louis received the Holy Ghost at early ages. They were heavily involved in the church, traveling all over the nation with Bishop C.M. Meadows' ministry. Under his ministry, Pastor Barbara and Deacon Louis Shutes were married on March 7, 1980. They had one son, Cedric, in 1985.

They continued to serve God under the leadership of Bishop Meadows. Both began to grow in Christ, as Bro. Louis became Deacon, and Sis. Barbara became Evangelist. Evangelist Barbara often preached on Sundays and taught Sunday School and Bible Class for Bishop Meadows when he became sick.

When Bishop Meadows was called to rest in 2008, Evangelist Barbara continued to feed the people of God at New Pentecostal Temple. God placed the task of furthering the ministry of Bishop Meadows on her by calling her to Pastor the congregation.

Obediently, Evangelist Barbara hearkened to the Will and call of God. Evangelist Barbara was ordained Pastor in Summer of 2009. Her appointment to the Pastoral position was not by choice, by man's appointment, nor by man's choosing, but by the call and the order of God. She continues, with the help of her husband, Deacon Shutes, to this day.

Pastor Barbara and Deacon Louis Shutes want you to know that their hearts are truly full of love for all of God's people. There mission is to continue to draw and win souls to Christ.
